Recycling and rubbish disposal centre for the Isle of Bute
Please note - last entry to the site is 15 minutes before closing time each day
Westlands recycling centre is open throughout the year, seven days a week including bank holidays with the exception of Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and 2 January.
Householders can bring various items to the site for recycling/recovery. These items include: Batteries (car and household); cardboard and paper; electrical items (small, large and battery operated); engine oil ; metal (cans, tins, aerosols and scrap); fluorescent tubes; garden waste; glass bottles and jars; light bulbs ; plastic (bottles, pots, tubs and trays); textiles; rubble; and wood.
Other household rubbish and items can be brought to the site for onward disposal. Guidance on recycling of upholstered items and disposal of asbestos waste can be read below.
If you have clean furniture, textiles or working electrical items you can contact Fyne Futures on 01700 503181. These items can be re-used by Fyne Futures if in a suitable condition.
