World Gaelic Week starts on Monday 24 February and many schools, community groups, and businesses across ����ɬ will be getting involved. 

From coffee mornings and careers events to ceilidhs and celebrating local culture and heritage – there’s something for everyone.

Established in 2022 and funded by Bòrd na ��à����������, Seachdain na ��à���������� (World Gaelic Week) celebrates Scottish Gaelic across the world and aims to raise the profile of Gaelic through community initiatives, school engagement, projects, and events.

����ɬ Council’s Policy Lead for Gaelic, Councillor Audrey Forrest, said: “The Gaelic language has played an important part in ����ɬ’s history for hundreds of years so it is great to see so many events taking place to mark World Gaelic Week and help raise awareness in our communities.

“Whether you’re a fluent Gaelic speaker, or are just starting your Gaelic learning journey, World Gaelic Week is a great opportunity to get involved and I would urge everyone to find out what is happening in their area by either visiting the , the  Facebook page, or by emailing the council’s Gaelic team at gaelic@argyll-bute.gov.uk .”&�Բ�����;
